Union Official or Sad Little Gypsy... You decide!
With more than 150 eligible voters at Paragon/TNG in El Paso, the ballots were counted on October 7th. Maritas and his so-called union received 4 votes. Yes, you read that right, only 4 votes. The SPFPA once again easily was victorious, although the outcome was not a surprise considering our historic excellent representation of these employees, including providing them with what has been described as the best security industry health insurance and other benefits available.
As the hundreds of United Federation LEOS members tell us as they flee to the SPFPA, when he and missing in action President Strebeck even bother to attempt to service their remarkably small number of units, they continue to provide significantly inferior service. Why does Maritas think he can convince others to join him in this sinking ship?
Maritas continues to waste an incredible amount of his members’ dues trying to raid the SPFPA. Why? Besides his insatiable need to attack the SPFPA because we long ago fired him, he has a much more immediate motivation – much of the LEOSU members’ funds he spends unsuccessfully trying to raid the SPFPA end up in his own pocket. So, alas, we anticipate we will continue to see Maritas’ pathetic unsuccessful attempts continuing in the future as he draws down LEOSU funds for his own benefit. What a waste.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines pathetic as “pitifully inferior or inadequate.” If the definition fits…. wear it!
